Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company (“WeCar”, “we” or “us”) is committed to ensuring your privacy as a valued WeCar program customer. This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal and non-personal information we collect on www.WeCar.com (the “Site”), as well as offline from our customers in the United States, how we use such information and how we may disclose it. By using the Site and/or joining the WeCar car sharing program, you agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection

Personal Information
We collect personal information from you only when you voluntarily provide it to us, including, for example, when you: (1) apply for our program; (2) join our program; (3) rent a vehicle from us; (4) complete a survey; or (5) contact us. The personal information we collect may include your name, address, email address, telephone number, driver’s license number, date of birth, credit card information, user name and password, emergency contact information, company name, corporate identification number and driving record information. We may combine the personal information we collect from you with information we receive about you from our affiliated companies as well as from other third parties. This information may include rental transaction information, corporate account and membership information, and address update information. An “affiliated” company (“Affiliate”) includes our parent and subsidiary companies, as well as any entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or is under common control with such company.
Non-Personal Information
As part of the standard operation of the Site, we may collect certain non-personal information from you, including but not limited to your browser type, operating system, IP address and the domain name and keyword (if applicable) from which you accessed the Site. In addition, we may collect information about your browsing behavior, such as the date and time you visit the Site, the areas or pages of the Site that you visit, the amount of time you spend viewing the Site, the number of times you return to the Site and other click-stream data. We may combine the non-personal information described here and below (under “Cookies & Pixel Tags”) with your personal information.
Cookies & Pixel Tags
We may use cookies to collect the non-personal information described above. A cookie is a small text file that may be stored on the hard drive of your computer when you access the Site. We, or third parties acting on our behalf, may also use pixel tags on our Site, in our emails and in our search engine marketing. Our use of cookies and pixel tags allows us to: (1) remember you when you return to the Site; (2) present you with a landing page appropriate to the site or keyword from which you come to the Site; (3) provide you with customized content and advertising when you are on the Site; (4) if you are not an WeCar program member, keep track of the data you enter while we complete your application request; (5) monitor Site usage, the sites from which our visitors come, and the effectiveness of our emails and other advertising; and (6) conduct research to improve our content and services. You are free to decline and/or turn off your cookies, but by doing so, you may not be able to use certain features on the Site or take full advantage of all of our offerings. Check the “Help” menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. By declining cookies, you may also disable certain pixel tags. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet. These companies employ cookie and pixel tag technology to measure and improve the effectiveness of ads for their clients. To do so, these companies may use anonymous information about your visits to the Web Site and other Web sites. This information can include: date/time of banner ad shown, your cookie and the first three octets of your IP address. These companies do not collect personally identifying information. This anonymous information can also be used for online preference marketing purposes. These third-party advertising companies may use information about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide ads about goods and services of interest to you. Information Use

We may use the information we collect from and about you for any of the following purposes: (1) to review and consider your application; (2) to help make our reservation and rental processes easier; (3) to provide you with targeted offers and advertising on the Site; (4) unless you tell us otherwise, to contact you with promotional materials and offers from us, as well as from our Affiliated companies and marketing partners; (5) to contact you with information about your participation in the program and when necessary; (6) to ask you to complete a customer survey; (7) to review Site usage and operations; (8) to address problems with the Site, our business or our products and services; and (9) to protect the security or integrity of the Site and our business.

Information Disclosure

We may disclose information collected from and about you as follows: (1) to our service providers, to perform a business, professional or technical support function for us; (2) to our Affiliated companies, for research, analytical and marketing purposes; (3) if you rent under a company account, to that account holder; (4) as necessary if we believe that there has been a violation of the Site Terms & Conditions, our rental agreement , the Membership Handbook or of our rights or the rights of any third party; (5) to respond to judicial process and provide information to law enforcement and governmental agencies or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law, or otherwise as required by law; and (6) otherwise, with your consent. In addition, in the event that our company or substantially all of its assets are acquired, your personal information may be one of the transferred assets. We may share aggregate, non-personally identifiable information with third parties for research and other purposes.

You may access any personal information you provide to us, correct or modify any such personal information, or direct us to make no further use of your personal information. Security

We are committed to securing your personally identifiable information. For certain transactions on the Site, we may use Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to secure the transfer of information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted over the Internet. Once we receive your information, we take steps to reasonably secure this information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, and to ensure its integrity. We use a combination of technical, physical, administrative and policy controls to protect this data. If you have a user name and password for any of the features on our Site, it is your responsibility to keep this information protected. You should not reveal your password to anyone. We will not ask you in an unsolicited telephone call or e-mail for your password. In addition, you should take reasonable precautions when using a computer other than your own, or your computer in a public setting.

Children

We do not direct the Site to, nor do we knowingly collect any personal information from, children under thirteen.

Third Party Sites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, which may have privacy policies that differ from our own. We are not responsible for the activities and practices that take place on these sites. Accordingly, we recommend that you review the privacy policy posted on any site that you may access through the Site. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may change this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the change(s) on our website. If we change the policy in a material way, we will provide appropriate online notice to you.
